Formulation Philosophy

Calizor is built on the principle that effective clear skin support requires addressing multiple biological pathways simultaneously.

Why a Multi-Pathway Approach

Symptoms related to skin conditions (such as acne and rosacea) are multifactorial conditions involving hormonal imbalance, excess sebum production, bacterial colonization, and chronic inflammation. Addressing only one of these factors often yields incomplete results. Calizor’s formulation targets three interconnected pathways to provide comprehensive nutritional support.

Hormonal Modulation

Androgen-driven sebum production and estrogen imbalance contribute to both acne and rosacea flares. Nutrients such as Vitamin B6 and Zinc support balanced hormone metabolism and modulate inflammatory signaling, helping to regulate upstream triggers of excess sebum and vascular reactivity.

Inflammatory Response

Inflammatory cytokines drive the progression from follicular occlusion to erythematous papules, pustules, and telangiectasia. Niacinamide (B3) and Curcumin modulate the inflammatory cascade by inhibiting NF-κB signaling and suppressing the release of pro-inflammatory interleukins.

Antioxidant Support

Oxidative stress damages follicular structures and perpetuates vascular inflammation. Quercetin, Zinc, and Copper provide layered antioxidant defense — scavenging free radicals, boosting superoxide dismutase activity, and stabilizing cell membranes — to protect skin at the cellular level.
